Jamie Oberman named in Australian Women's Born 2000 Squad
Water Polo Australia is pleased to announce the squad for the Australian Women’s Born 2000 squad ahead of their camp from April 2-7 at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
The squad will come together as they prepare for the FINA Youth World Championships held between August 27 – September 2 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Australian Head Coach Dusan Damjanovic said it was a great opportunity to bring the squad together.
“Training at the AIS offers us an excellent opportunity to spend time together as a squad training in some of the country’s best facilities.
“The squad will arrive in a good mindset following the 18&U National Aged Championships in Canberra over the Easter long weekend.
“There is a chance for more athletes to be added to the squad following strong performances in the 18&U National Aged Championships,” he said.
Our very own Jaime Oberman has been named in the squad. Congratulations Jaime and well done on all your hard work. Also wishing Heather Laird all the best to impress the selectors at the up and coming U18's nationals and hopefully be included in the squad to travel to Serbia.
